I’ve been working on securing the ShortControlledBursts.com URL for a few months. The previous owner had agreed to let it drop, but it takes forever for the Powers that Be to open a URL back up to the public. Anyway, I’d decided that before doing any major redesign, I wanted to have all my ducks [...]

The ever-resourceful Mr. Newquist launched a cool WordPress blog for our fledgling Star Wars Saga Edition RPG campaign today. (It’s like Dungeons & Dragons, but based on the Star Wars movies. Yes, I’m that big a nerd.) Still much content to be posted, but be sure to check back soon if you’re interested in such [...]

Well, I finally got sick of the old “Snapshot Tequila” template screwing up the header, so I made a switch. In this age of expansive flat screen real estate, I also decided to avoid a fixed-width layout. Unfortunately, Blogger only has a few “stretching” templates, so this one will have to do for now.

Apparently, during my writing hiatus Blogger has decided to implement a post tagging system. That’s a great new feature, but in doing so they have simultaneously destroyed my existing tagging system, which was a Blogger hack based on a Greasemonkey script and Del.ici.us. I think my only recourse is going back through all my posts [...]

Well, maybe nobody’s reading, but I think I’m going to start writing again anyway – I miss it. A recent episode (#109) of the PC Gamer podcast got me thinking about the blog and why I write. The whole thing is cathartic I suppose. People have maintained journals since man invented pen and ink, and [...]

Keep your fingers crossed, but I think I have the Recent Comments functionality working in the sidebar now! I thought it would be a bit trickier, but it really wasn’t that difficult to implement. I still probably have a few formatting tweaks to make, but the feature is functional. A note about how this feature [...]

Well, how pretentious am I – a version number for my… blog?? Well, I’m no 1337 haxxor, and these kind of upgrades are not trivial for me, so allow me a little pride. On the surface, I’ve done some reorganizing – mostly to the sidebar. It’s now much more organized and I’ve prioritized the items [...]

Woah – over a month since my last post! I haven’t lost interest with the blog, just lots of extenuating circumstances. See, for me the creative process takes a lot of energy. Perhaps my inspiration threshold is higher than others or something. Is that just an eloquent way of saying that I’m lazy? The latter [...]

Not that anyone’s actually reading, but sorry for the lack of entries. Last week, I was the unwilling host of the nasty little organism known as the common cold, my second such incidence of this wonderful experience already this season. The first day of autumn barely behind us, I hope this is not the beginning [...]

Ok, I know that I’ve only been doing Ditlog for a few weeks, but my morbid curiosity is welling. Is anyone out there reading? Kindly drop me a comment with any constructive criticism or a quick blurb on what you like. Sorry to wax self-promotive, but I’m trying to gauge whether my efforts at Technorati [...]
